Over the past 8 months I have gained more interest in light gun games, especially ever since I started playing more House of the Dead in the arcades. I was wondering: has anyone ever used the Namco GunCon 2 light gun for the PS2 (used in games like Time Crisis II and 3) with Windows OS and a CRT monitor?

I'm really contemplating buying one to not only play my PS2 lightgun shooters with, but also to use it for PC emulators like MAME and the Model 2 Emulator. The monitor is not much a problem as I do have a 20-inch flat screen CRT tube. I have seen a couple of drivers for Windows (Smog's GunCon2PC driver and 'WinGun') that support the gun as it has a USB port in it, but there are some things which concern me: - I've heard they do not work with Windows 10 or any 64-bit OS. - One person reported he somehow got the GunCon 2 working with the EMS Top Gun 64-bit drivers with Windows 10.

Could anyone confirm this for me? - I would be using my ASUS laptop and an HDMI to A/V converter. Would this theoretically work by plugging in the GunCon cable to the one in the converter and connect it into my TV? If I have to use 32-bit OS, I may eventually look into finding an old computer with whatever the drivers support. I think it would still be a cheap solution to enjoying classic arcade shooters in the comfort of my own home. I own an Ultimarc AimTrak gun that uses IR technology much different from the older guns, and while I enjoy them, they just don't have the pixel-perfectness of the old guns.: Don't think I will be getting rid of the AimTrak though. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
